expectations for leadership at st mark's

All youth leaders at St Mark's need to sign a copy of the sheet below.

Expectations for Leadership at St Mark’s

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Thank you for being willing to serve God at St Mark’s this year, through leading the youth.
This is the statement that Jesus leaves his disciple with before he is taken to heaven.
Jesus’ says if you are a disciple of his then you are to make more disciples.
It is our goal and aim for this to happen at St Mark’s and it is exciting to think you are a part of it.

Meeting the following expectations are important if you want to be involved in ministry at St Mark’s

As a St Mark’s leader, I will be committed to ministry for the rest of this year and during that time I will...

# Spending good time with God: Bible Reading – 1 Thess 2:13 and Prayer – 1 Thess 5:17
# Attend a local church – Hebrew 10:25
# Pray for the children under my care – Col 1:9
# Only date Christians – 1 Cor 7:39
# Model Christ to the youth in my care – 1 Cor 11:1
# Be committed to the team and attend all meetings.
# Behave appropriately and with absolute integrity in all relationships.
# Spend good time in preparation.
# Accept the authority of and be accountable to James.

I understand the above expectations, and I commit myself to fulfilling them to the best of my ability.
