What a day in Tas it was yesterday & today, 28 yesterday & 30 today. So we took the opportunity to have lunch after church at the Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, as a family.

Yesterday we had an animal service in the church hall, people were encouraged to bring their pets along. It went really well & we had donkey rides after. If you are look for a different way to out reach try this.

Bellerive had a Seafarer's festival on last Sunday. There was a pretty good crowd considering the weather was off & on. I helped out at the Mission Afloat stall making foam boats. They were also giving free boat rides.

We went to a combined house party with 2 other churches in Hobart on Saturday. My high light was traveling down south with Anita, Jean & Michelle to taste test some sheep's cheese & then to Peppermint Bay for coffee & scones.

Last Friday night we had a combined Youth Event with other Anglican churches in Hobart. The night went really well. I spoke from Lk 15:11-24 (Prodigal Son) that the relationship you can have with God is unconditional.

Isaac & Renee were married last Saturday. Anita was a bridesmaid & I drove 1 of the cars & MCed the reception, so we were with them all day which was great.

We're in! We moved into our new house last Friday. With land & building being well priced in Tas & our mate K. Rudd chipping in a bit it was the way to go. Anita's dad & brother built it & I did a bit when I could.

We had come dressed as a book or movie character at our youth groups this week & Jo one of our leaders for the younger group, Scotty's came as the karate kid.

On Saturday I played squash with a few young blokes from church. It was good fun having a hit & running around. I was sore the next day. I ask them if they were sore & they said no & that the reason I was sore was because I'm old!!!

Mark is one of the young blokes that goes to my church at Bellerive. This photo was on the front page of the Tas newspaper the other day. He represented Tas in a cooking challenge against other young people in Sydney. It was on A Current Affair last week. We hope to have his family over for a meal & we will let Mark use our kitchen!

At the moment we are going through the 2nd half of the book of Acts. We are also doing the Bible studies from David Cook's Teaching Acts book which fit in nicely with the sermon series.

Because of the long weekend we took the opportunity to go to Bruny. It was Will's first boat trip & time at Bruny. We relaxed, fished, collected fire wood, cleaned gutters, read, ate & had a great time together as a family.

If you are going near water. No matter what time of the year. You need one of these! I went for a paddle at Bellerive beach with a few young blokes from church on Saturday. It was good to get out & spend some time on the water & also in the water!
